Jerry Peters, steely eyed old pro walleye man who’s fished Woman Lake for decades, heading out to his very favorite spot. He fished 4 hours and was skunked.
Well, Jerry wasn’t totally skunked. He managed to catch my thumb.
– A moment of sheer courage. I ripped the hook out of my thumb with the pliers. Bruce almost fainted as he photographed the event.
Later, despite the wound, I caught this monstrous Dogfish. A fierce battle.
– And finally, Bruce with the big walleye of the day – and maybe the trip? – a 21-incher.
