Sunday's Pictures For May 13, 2012

Peter Hunt casting a “Redeye Wiggler” for Northern Pike on Lantern Bay. We weren’t catching walleyes anyway that time of the afternoon so this was a nice diversion.....

A very modest-sized Northern caught by Peter. You can see where the “Redeye” part of the lure’s name comes from.....

Pat Kelly strains to hold a 25” Northern Pike. Don’t put too much stock in his expression – the fish weighs only a few pounds.....

Rick Zieman finds it much easier to hold his 20” Walleye, the biggest of the trip so far. And that’s not a bad fish at all either.....

Okay, I’m getting tired of Northern Pike photos. No more unless something unique. This is Jerry Peters with the smallest one of the trip.....

Well, maybe Northerns aren’t the worst things a bloke can catch… Pat Kelly with a nice stick he brought. He forgot to measure it before releasing it though.....

Jerry, Rick, and Pat on the “Gold Coast” Sunday evening in Jerry’s boat.....

Juris and Peter in Juris’s boat on the way out for the afternoon’s fishing......

And coming back in after three hours on the water with only Peter’s small Northern to show for efforts.....

Sunday evening dinner fixed up by Chef Rick Zieman – tilapia, excellent asparagus, and huge shrimp.....
